\u201cI just love my job, playing with natural gemstones is my happy place, they will let me know what they want to become,\u201d says Kim.<\/p>\n
From a pendant to earrings to a ring or anything in between, the Studio 39 design team can remodel old jewellery into something exquisite or produce a beautiful piece using the client\u2019s own stones. Indigenous plants and her love for South Africa provide inspiration for her to create unique pieces of jewellery.<\/p>\n Recently selected as one of KZN\u2019s Top Business Women for 2023, she had everyone in awe over the beautiful gold orchid pendant that she specifically designed to wear for the Gala event.<\/p>\n Known to surround herself with orchids, you will always find fresh orchids displayed in Kim\u2019s shop, this spectacular pendant was based on the indigenous orchid Aerangis mystacidii<\/em> found right here in KZN.<\/p>\n Kim explains that she used some poetic license to make the orchid larger than life, with a few tweaks to make it wearable.
