<\/p>\nThe momentous night Michelle Bisset has been working towards all year has finally come: the 2024 Mrs South Africa Top 30 finalists have been chosen, with Michelle receiving her sash under the bright lights of the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace on Friday night, July 5.<\/p>\n
Raised in Hillcrest, Michelle has lived her whole life in the Upper Highway area where she pursued her career as an admitted attorney, conveyancer and Notary Public. She is the director of a commercial legal services company in Durban and also has her own law firm. Her passion for helping small businesses caused her to start a small business empowerment platform in the Upper Highway area which provides small businesses in the Upper Highway area with the opportunity to network with like-minded business owners in an informal setting and to gain insight and helpful information on ensuring a sustainable and successful business.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Mrs South Africa organisation has an incredible reputation and provides a powerful platform to leverage from. I believe that through a collaboration with the Mrs South Africa organisation, I can expand the reach of the small business empowerment platform into the greater South African community in an effort to help small businesses become sustainable and ultimately reduce unemployment in South Africa.\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n
Mrs South Africa is first and foremost an empowerment programme with the aim of transforming married women aged 25 to 55 into powerful leaders and forces for positive change. The pageant creates a supportive environment wherein contestants work together, learn from one another, find support, and grow their personal and professional networks.<\/p>\n

Speaking about her experience as part of the Mrs South Africa sisterhood, she says, \u201cThe Mrs South Africa sisterhood is more impactful than I could have ever imagined. There is a saying which says when women come together, incredible things happen and the Mrs South Africa sisterhood is evidence of this. I am so incredibly grateful to be a part of the sisterhood,\u201d says Bisset.<\/p>\n
Joani Jacobs, CEO of Mrs South Africa, notes that the programme received a record number of applicants in 2024, making the competition fiercer than ever.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe judges faced a really difficult task in selecting the winners from such a strong group of contestants, and this year\u2019s Top 30 represents some of South Africa\u2019s most incredible, inspirational women. We\u2019ve been so proud to walk this journey beside them as they\u2019ve pushed themselves to break through their limiting beliefs, and discover just what they\u2019re actually capable of,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve taken to each challenge laid before them with ease, and they truly embody the spirit of strength, positivity, and grace that define Mrs South Africa. We look forward to watching them take the final steps in their self-development journey, and making their mark as formidable female leaders and social advocates.\u201d<\/p>\n
