We were recently invited to the launch of one of the KZN Society of Arts\u2019 (KZNSA) most exciting exhibitions of the year, A Luta Continua<\/strong> – reflecting on 30 years of democracy through the Constitutional Court Art Collection. Exploring the connection between art and justice, human rights and democracy in South Africa\u2019s history and future, there is no other art collection in post-apartheid SA that more evocatively captures the spirit of a nation moving from racist oppression to realising a progressive constitutional democracy.\u00a0 It is, in many ways, emblematic of the country\u2019s aspirations for human rights, liberty and dignity for all. Highlighting the architects who integrated art so thoughtfully and effectively into the design of the Constitutional Court building, and featuring the work of many artists, including KZN talent. The exhibition that is being held at the KZNSA in Glenwood, is accompanied by educational and public engagement teams and ends on Sunday, November 10 if you\u2019d like to go and see it for yourself. The gallery is open Tuesdays to Fridays 9am to 5pm, Saturdays 9am to 4pm and Sundays 9am to 3pm.<\/p>\n
