A desert adventure \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

This ones\u2019 for cycling enthusiasts and adventure seekers! A reminder not to miss the Tanqua Kuru Bicycle Race<\/em> that returns for the fifth time, challenging riders to push themselves to new heights while experiencing the beauty of the Karoo. Participants can choose between a challenging 113km route or a medium 59km route on the first day, followed by a 62km ride on the second day.\u00a0In collaboration with Sling, a few lucky cyclists will have the chance to take aerial flips, providing a bird\u2019s-eye view of the breathtaking landscape. Beyond the cycling, the race features unique festivities, including themed water points, premium hospitality, and the Bicycle Burn. The race will be held over the weekend of May 23 to 25. Art lovers can look forward to a feast of different works from local artists exhibiting at Fig Tree Farm at the Art in the Paddock Exhibition<\/em>. Set on the lawns outside the cafe, more than 30 artists, including Shirley Howells, Annette Hadley, Sue Whitmore, Margie Currie, Portia Redmond, Val Sperryn, will display their artwork … sculptures and paintings done in oils, water colour, acrylics and inks, with a diversity of subject matter. The PONDO Trail Run<\/em> is back for 2025, once again inviting trail runners to experience one of the world\u2019s last untouched coastlines while making a tangible difference in conservation and community upliftment. Hosted by Wild Child Africa, this three-day event will see participants traverse the remote and rugged northern section of the Wild Coast \u2013 a region renowned for its dramatic cliffs, unspoiled beaches, and extraordinary biodiversity, with more than 150 plant species found nowhere else on earth. Beyond the adventure, the heart of this event lies in its fundraising efforts for the Pondoland Conservation Trust, which works to uplift Pondoland\u2019s local community, and Cipla\u2019s Miles for Smiles initiative, which funds life-changing corrective surgeries for children with cleft conditions. Taking place from May 28 to June 1, runners will gather at the Wild Coast Sun for registration, where there is also a drop-off for winter essential donations for the event\u2019s Gift of Warmth initiative.
