The event, presented by Hero 777 &#8211; founded on Matthew Legemaate\u2019s personal heart and lung transplant journey &#8211; was hosted in partnership with KZN\u2019s organ, eye, tissue and bone transplant coordinators and teams. Powerful stories from transplant recipients, kidney donors and donor families highlighted the joy, hope and opportunities made possible through organ and tissue donation. A poignant candle-lighting ceremony in honour of past donors was followed by a quiet procession to the Circle of Life Donor Memorial Garden, where roses were laid in remembrance of those who gave selflessly to help others. KZN faces a severe shortage of registered donors.
