Capturing life, light and joy wherever they go, this creative duo has journeyed from childhood pony dreams to global adventures – proving everything is better in twos.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s something instantly electric about meeting twins – a feeling of synchronicity, warmth and \u2018double take\u2019 delight. And encountering Amy and Meg White, the creative powerhouse behind The Tantalising Twins, takes that feeling to another level with their bright, contagious energy<\/p>\n

\"\"With National Twin Day landing squarely in December, we couldn\u2019t resist diving into the world of these dynamic sisters – exploring the joys of twinhood, the creative universe they\u2019ve built together, and their festive season traditions that sparkle with just as much personality as they do. They\u2019re photographers, videographers, travellers, storytellers and full-time creatives who proudly live by the motto \u2018Never alone, always aligned, and fuelled by good intentions\u2019.<\/p>\n

The twins\u2019 journey starts like something out of a nostalgic family album. Matching handmade outfits sewn by their mom Jayne – always the same pattern, just different colours, twin haircuts, and a tiny birthmark on Meg\u2019s forehead serving as the official decoding tool for anyone trying to tell them apart. \u201cPeople would crouch down and study our faces to find the clue,\u201d they laugh.<\/p>\n

From the beginning, their connection was unmistakable. \u201cWe\u2019ve always been blessed to never be alone,\u201d they say. \u201cWe understand each other on a level that makes support feel effortless – sometimes we know what the other needs before she even
\nsays it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Professionally, they\u2019re the perfect creative equation: Amy, the artistic intuitive; Meg, the analytical anchor. \u201cAmy will get us lost driving to Umhlanga \u2026 Meg will keep us from somehow landing in China,\u201d they joke.<\/p>\n

But the twin life isn\u2019t without its quirks. \u201cPeople often see us as one person but we have our own identities too,\u201d they explain. And then there\u2019s the lifelong soundtrack … are you twiiiiins<\/em>? – Always answered with their trademark grin: \u201cYes! We come in peace!\u201d<\/p>\n

And yes, twin intuition is real. Their iconic story: Amy breaks her nose during a Grade 5 softball game \u2026 while Meg, on the opposite end of the school, suddenly bursts into tears for no reason. \u201cTrue, true, true story!\u201d<\/p>\n

Uncanny? Absolutely. Unshakable bond? Completely.<\/p>\n

Ask them to describe one another and the words flow like poetry.<\/p>\n

Amy on Meg:<\/em> Pure-hearted. Highly intelligent. The most loyal person you will meet.<\/p>\n

Meg on Amy:<\/em> Vivacious. Resilient. Loves fiercely.<\/p>\n

Did they agree with the descriptions? \u201cWe both went \u2018Aaaaaah!\u2019 in a moment of pure sisterly mush.\u201d<\/p>\n

Behind the scenes, Amy quietly admires Meg\u2019s innate leadership – \u201cMeg was head girl in matric!\u201d \u2013 While Meg is constantly inspired by Amy\u2019s unstoppable work ethic. \u201cEspecially considering she has bad ADHD,\u201d she adds, lovingly and proudly.<\/p>\n

Their secret to keeping their twin-ship strong? Self-Care Sundays –\u00a0 church in the morning, pampering
\nat home, a family lunch, decompression and recharging. \u201cIf you feel good in body and soul, any mountain feels climbable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their Tantalising Twins brand, wasn\u2019t born in a boardroom – it grew organically from Amy\u2019s photography work. Meg helped on weekends until Amy finally said I need you full-time. At the end of 2023, they took a leap of faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we could do it, so can you,\u201d they say. \u201cHard work fuelled by good intentions can make your dreams come true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today, Amy is the lead photographer, Meg films and edits, and pre-production is shared territory. Meg\u2019s other role is the Spreadsheet Queen. \u201cShe keeps the ship sailing in the right direction,\u201d Amy beams.<\/p>\n

They are drawn to brands and people who value authenticity and ethics. \u201cGood intention matters. Communication matters. Feeling safe matters. That\u2019s how unforgettable stories get created.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most memorable projects?<\/em> Driving the Sani Pass for CMH Suzuki Hillcrest \u2026 and our debut work trip to Zanzibar – paradise with kind people.<\/p>\n

\"\"Festive magic
\n<\/strong>Growing up, Christmas meant one thing: Asking Santa for a pony. Every. Single. Year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then one year\u2026 it happened!\u201d they beam.<\/p>\n

Their family is \u2018tiny but potent\u2019, and Christmas was – and still is – full of gratitude, laughter and creativity. Their childhood memory highlight was Santa\u2019s \u2018sampled\u2019 mince pies and an empty beer bottle left behind. \u201cKudos to mom and dad for the commitment!\u201d<\/p>\n

Amy says Meg was always the most excited on Christmas morning. \u201cStatistically, she believed the pony had to arrive eventually – a quality of hope she still carries today.\u201d As adults, they\u2019ve kept the traditions alive – big family lunch, a decorated house that looks like Christmas exploded, and carols loudly on repeat.<\/p>\n

Christmas Day starts with church at Hillcrest Presby, mince pies for breakfast, Secret Santa, bougie hats and bubbles in the kitchen, while they cook together. \u201cDepending on the menu, we might be up early – you know, for the low-and-slow dishes.\u201d<\/p>\n

On their festive table you will find, \u201cQuality Street chocolates, Dad\u2019s legendary mince pies and not negotiable, prawns\u201d.<\/p>\n

Over the years presents evolved too with Meg giving Amy a Mitch Albom book every year for eight years and Amy always giving Meg horse things. \u201cNow we do family Secret Santa – small budget, big heart. We\u2019re all about presence, not presents.\u201d<\/p>\n

But this year is extra special\u2026The twins turn 40 on New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe plan to celebrate our final moments in our 30s\u2026 and maybe nap and recover, too. Got ideas? DM us on how we should celebrate turning 40,\u201d they laugh.<\/p>\n

Wish list?
\n<\/strong>Practical: <\/em>Gadgets for their new five-door Jimny named JIM\u2026 and any photography gear the universe wants to bless them with.<\/p>\n

Dreamy:<\/em> A one-way ticket to a Maldives water bungalow, all inclusive. Sunshine guaranteed. \u201cToo much? We know Santa is busy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Christmas hacks?
\n<\/strong>Their must-do DIY family photo tradition: <\/em>Prop a cellphone in video mode at the Christmas table or tree, record a Christmas wish, and strike a few poses, then screenshot the best moments. Instant candid magic.<\/p>\n

Their yearly signature selfie:
\n<\/em>Bougie hats. Same pose every year. Different drinks. Memory gold.<\/p>\n

Their festive rewatch ritual:<\/em> Christmas carols 24\/7 and Party at the Palace – previously on DVD, now YouTube.<\/p>\n

Their wellness reset: <\/em>Walks, beach time, horse cuddles, and a yearly personal-and-business retrospective followed by writing their \u2018Happy List\u2019.<\/p>\n

Wish for 2026?<\/strong>
\nWith hope and goodness radiating from Amy and Meg, their wish for the New Year is as heartfelt as it is universal: \u201cThat people will be kind. That hard work will pay off. That the hardships of 2025 will be balanced beyond expectations in 2026 – can we get an Amen? And that everyone finds their peace. Through peace comes growtonh, and the space to move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Tantalising Christmas Cake<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/em> Fruit mix, 500g; sugar, 250ml; boiling water, 250ml; butter, 180g; chopped cherries, 125ml; bicarb,
\n1\u00bd tsp; eggs, 2; milk, 62.5ml; brandy, 100ml (plus extra for pouring); chopped nuts, 100g; flour, 2 cups;
\nbaking powder, 1\u00bd tsp; mixed spice, \u00bd tsp; nutmeg, \u00bc tsp; cinnamon, \u00bc tsp.<\/p>\n

Method:<\/em> The day before, boil the fruit mix, sugar, water, butter, cherries and bicarb together for 20 minutes, then cool completely. The next day, preheat the oven to 160\u00b0C. Sift the flour, baking powder, mixed spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Beat the eggs, milk and brandy, add the nuts, then stir this into the cooled fruit mixture and combine very well. Spoon into a lined square baking tin and bake for 1\u00bd hours. When hot, pour extra brandy over the top, then cool and wrap in foil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
