Flatfoot Dance Company<\/strong> brings its powerful school touring programme to KwaZulu-Natal, offering high school learners a moving encounter with dance, poetry, and South African history. History is a Home Address<\/em>, a choreo-poem inspired by the writings of renowned poet and activist Dr Mongane Wally Serote, invites Grade 8 to 12 students to reflect on memory, identity, and the histories we carry in our bodies and hearts. The performance blends contemporary African dance, spoken word, and physical theatre, re-imagining iconic poems such as City Johannesburg<\/em> and No Baby Must Weep<\/em>. Each school presentation includes a facilitated post-performance discussion, and an extended package offers a practical workshop encouraging learners to respond creatively to the themes explored. With a national and international reputation for excellence, Flatfoot brings world-class contemporary African dance directly into schools, making live performance and critical thinking accessible to young people.
