Food has always been that quiet, powerful connector, a bridge between generations, the centrepiece of our most meaningful gatherings, and often the language through which we express love when words fall short.<\/p>\n<p>In this issue, we celebrate two of life\u2019s most beautiful milestones &#8211; Mother\u2019s Day and the journey to \u2018I do\u2019. At first glance, they may seem like separate stories. One honours the woman who raised us, nurtured us and shaped our earliest understanding of love. The other marks the beginning of a new chapter &#8211; where love is chosen and a new family is formed. Yet both are rooted in the same truth &#8211; connection.<\/p>\n<p>There is something deeply special about a table set with intention. A table where a mother and daughter sit side by side, perhaps reminiscing, perhaps laughing, perhaps quietly taking in the weight of the moment. A table where a bride gathers with the women who have walked beside her, celebrating not only the wedding ahead, but the journey that brought her there.<\/p>\n<p>These are the moments that linger. Food becomes more than nourishment, it becomes memory. The first bite of a childhood favourite.<\/p>\n<p>The familiar aroma that signals home. The delicate sweetness of a dessert shared over conversation. These are the details that quietly stitch together our most treasured experiences.<\/p>\n<p>For brides, food can offer a moment of pause amidst the whirlwind, a chance to slow down, to savour, to be present. For mothers, it is often an act of love, passed down through recipes, traditions and gestures that speak volumes. For both, it is a way of saying, you are loved, you are celebrated, you are seen.<\/p>\n<p>So this month, we invite you to gather around the table. To celebrate the women who raised us, and the women we are becoming. To host, to share, to indulge and to create moments that will be remembered long after the last plate is cleared.<\/p>\n<p>Because in the end, it\u2019s never just about the food. It\u2019s about who is sitting beside you. Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add the caster sugar, one spoon at a time, beating until the mixture is glossy and stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the vinegar, cornflour, and vanilla extract, taking care not to knock out the air.<br \/>\nSpoon the mixture onto the prepared tray and shape it into a round, creating a slight well in the centre.
