Penny, who spent more than three decades writing for leading South African newspapers and magazines, shared the stories and research behind her historical fiction. Her books bring remarkable women from history to life, including pioneering astronomer Caroline Herschel, the central figure in her latest book, The Woman and Her Stars. Penny\u2019s work shines a light on courageous, independent women who challenged convention.
