Powerhouse line-up set to rock at Prime Fest

There’s nothing that South Africans enjoy more than a day out in the sun and fresh air, with great company, music, food and drinks.  And what better way to celebrate the turn of the season than with Joburg’s hottest music and lifestyle festival, Prime Fest.

Taking place on October 5, at Casalinga in Muldersdrift, this year’s event is promising to be bigger and better with a powerhouse music line-up and a bevy of food, beverage and lifestyle stalls.

Having launched in 2018, Prime Circle have put together an “All Killer, No Filler” line-up.

Kicking off the day’s proceedings will be Just Jinjer, followed by a royal flush of South African music giants including The Parlotones, Jack Parow, Freshlyground, Mango Groove, Wonderboom and Shut Up It’s Sunday.

“We are so excited for the second Prime Fest.  Last year was an amazing experience where we learned a lot and now, we can add and make this year even better. We’ve put together an incredible line-up of artists who’ve had great success over the years and this will be first time we have all played on the same stage and look forward to some exciting collaborations,” said Prime Circle frontman, Ross Learmonth.

Apart from the star-studded music line-up, this family-friendly festival combines an outdoor experience with a dedicated kid play area and a wide range of stalls.

Cooler boxes and picnic baskets are not permitted but there will be sufficient food stalls to fill your stomachs and a bar and beer garden to quench your thirst.

And what would a proudly South African event be without showing the love for a few of our local charity organisations including Woodrock Animal Rescue, Owl Rescue & Rehabilitation and RADA.

Patrons are reminded that umbrellas will only be allowed in designated areas.  There will be no gazebos allowed so as not to block the stage view for other attendees.  Camp chairs are permitted.

Limited tickets are available through Computicket and range from R365 to R1250 (VIP Access).

The festival will kick-off at 11am with gates opening at 10am. Casalinga is located on Rocky Ridge Road in Muldersdrift.
