Spoil your four-legged friends this festive season

Two black Labradors, two doting pet parents and a passion for fresh, natural produce were the main ingredients for the humble beginning of From The Barkery (FTB), South Africa’s luxury pet brand.

With a background in food, the pet chefs put their culinary caps on and formulated treat recipes using only natural ingredients containing zero unnecessary artificial sweeteners or preservatives.

The products include a pedigree twist on all human treats, with Pup Cakes and Pup Pops on the menu for special occasions, with the good old faithful peanut butter being the hero of the dish. The treats are produced for both cats and dogs, with flavours ranging from sesame and rosemary to kale and blueberry to chamomile and honey.

Gift hampers and personalised goodies can also be ordered and put together by the FTB family, with boxes jam-packed full of flavoursome and nourishing treats.

Furthermore to all the yummy treats, the FTB family offer fluffy, waterproof blankets that are fleecy on one side and furry on the other, complete with a waterproof inner to keep pets dry.

Each new product goes under quality control testing by FTB furry pets ensuring it is given a paw up before it’s released.

The products are available to order online and at a number of stockists around Cape Town, the Garden Route, Durban and Johannesburg. Prices range from as little as R15 to R900.

It all depends on whether they’ve been a ‘good boy’ – or how much they deserve a spoil just because.
