SA’s first ‘treasure hunt’ retailer opens 10th store

Discount My Fashion (DMF) recently opened its 10th store at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Bedfordview.

“Off-price retail is a treasure hunt for consumers who enjoy the thrill of a bargain,” said David Fine, DMF CEO.

DMF offers every popular brand imaginable at prices people can afford using clever procurement methods.

“We thrive off the ‘mistakes’ of traditional retailers, buying their excess inventory, as well as that which has been returned by e-commerce channels – big names such as Amazon, ASOS and Zalando. When people return unwanted items of clothing, rather than going back into inventory, these clothes are sold at cheaper prices by the e-commerce business. We buy this stock and pass the discounts of between 60 and 80 per cent onto our customers,” said Fine.

“Hugo Boss, Nike, Adidas, Diesel, Moschino, Fila, Calvin Klein, Levis, Sketchers, Clarks, Steve Maddon, Aldo, G Star, Nine West, Zara – you name it we could have it in store, and if it’s not there this week, it might be next week.”

The DMF Eastgate store, which opened on November 8, is 1100m² of clothing for women, men and children, as well as handbags, shoes, home and toy products.

You can also visit the DMF store at the Palm Centre, North Rand Road, Boksburg and at The Glen Mall in Alberton.
