A Moroccan feast

Discover the aromatic and spicy food of Morocco by taking a trip to Russel Street
(Benoni’s own little Melville) and visiting the Tajine Moroccan Restaurant, where
you will experience a feast for all the senses.

Enjoy the rich ambience of Moroccan colours, floor cushions, Persian carpets and Moroccan artefacts. Prepare yourself for an explosion of intriguing flavour combinations.

The owner, Yvonne Taylor, decided to close the Tajine Restaurant next to Lemongrass
a while ago. Loyal Tajine customers, from as far as Pretoria and Van der Bijl Park, were
upset and Yvonne decided to set up Tajine at the back of the Lemongrass building.

Tajine offers a selection of the authentic tastes of Morocco: spiced date and pomegranate lamb with sweet and subtle flavours, perfectly balanced with Moroccan spices; olive and lemon chicken slow roasted in a spiced olive and preserved lemon marinade; and Tajine’s signature dish – slow-roasted Mechoui (lamb shank), to mention but a few mouth-watering dishes.
