We’re not sure what we love most about Set A Table. The jaw-droppingly gorgeous photos that make you yearn to invite a few of your most glamorous friends for drinks and canapes (think old-fashioned teacups filled with carrot miso soup, or platters of oysters with tom yum orange ice), or the recipes from renowned restaurant owner Karen Dudley … should we make crispy prawn pangrattato or soft polenta with interesting mushrooms or beetroot, leek and walnut salad? Some of the recipes are from Karen’s restaurant, The Dining Room, all are easily achievable to make at home, they’re versatile, and tasty and just perfect for a romantic table for two, a sit down dinner for eight, or a party for 20. Ideal for young entertainers perfecting their dinner party menus and for those of us who’ve thrown a dinner party or two but need some new inspiration. Love it! Jacana, R380
