Hats, heels, teas … oh, and a whole array of delectable treats. This is a snapshot of our July as The Palazzo Montecasino hotel has a host of high tea spoils … winter warmers at their best! On the new Winter High Tea menu, we’re keen to try the Mexican spiced chocolate panna cotta with capsicum compote and there’s also a smoked salmon and truffle ricotta on a beetroot roll that sounds yummy. On the new Morning High Tea offering during week days, try a banana bacon doughnut – and so much more – with your freshly brewed teas or coffees. (Week days from 9.30am to 11.30am, R195 a person).
And for those of you who like to dress up (we do!), enjoy a festive feast at the Christmas in July Hats and Heels High Tea. Attention chocolate fans – your favourite sweet treat is at the centre of this offering. We’re intrigued by the vanilla milk chocolate mousse with ‘mulled wine’ jelly and we can’t wait to bite into an utterly tempting hazelnut chocolate macaron … so special. (July 13, R325 a person.)
