The new (and fabulously worthy) craze to hit Joburg is planted-friendly, package-free shopping. The Refillery­ opened in Cedar Square a month or so ago (Details: therefillery.co.za), and now the SEK Zero Waste Store has just popped up in Blairgowrie. No bags, no plastic, no unwanted packaging. You can buy glass storage containers, or take your own from home (which cuts down on costs), or help yourself to one of the store’s free, recycled paper bags, and fill them with everything from popcorn to cleaning products to body care essentials.
