The Illustrator’s Exhibition is going to be an absolute must-see at the South African Book Fair this weekend, and it’ll be held in the Oval Atrium in the Women’s Jail at Constitution Hill this coming weekend.

Prepare to be mesmirised by illustrations from children’s book illustrators, Mogau Kekana (illustrator of Refiloe Moahloli’s Yes, Yanga!) and Toby Newsome, as well as comic book illustrators, Loyiso Mkhize, Clyde Beech and Nathi Ngubane.

Your little ones will see visual storytelling brought to life when Toby Newsome entertains youngsters in the Magic Tent on Saturday. The South African illustrator will share his award-winning work on Gogo’s List, which was written by Ghana’s Portia Dery and won the Golden Baobab Prize.

Youngsters will also go on a journey of discovery in Find Your Art Heroes on Saturday from 10am as renowned art expert Dr. Cobi Labuscagne showcases the world of contemporary South African art and artists, featuring the works of Mary Sibande, Zander Blom, Banele Khoza, Billie Zangewa and many more.

There’s so much more on offer at the fair.

Tickets from R10.
