We were so looking forward to the Autumn Garden Show … so much so that you’ll find our April mag has a distinctly green-fingered theme.

But after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s first address to the nation last Sunday (March 15) in which a national state of disaster was declared and gatherings of more than 100 people were banned, the organisers, Lonehill Media, opted to postpone the garden show.

As we now know, Ramaphosa announced a lockdown will be put in place from midnight on March 26 for 21 days.

The show was to run this coming weekend from April 3 to 5 at The Herb Farm in Midrand.

Lonehill Media extended thanks to the exhibitors, sponsors, partners and visitors for their support and said they would announce the date of the 2021 show later this year.

We look forward to it.
