What makes your business special? Hello Hair is unique … not only in its design – which is a container conversion – or because of its beautiful, relaxing location at the Free Range Lifestyle Centre on Witkoppen Road, but because our main focus is still very much on holistic and individualised service. We pride ourselves in taking careful consideration of not only how our clients look, but more so, how they feel when they leave our space. This is the secret to our success in growing a large and loyal customer base.
Tell us about your hairstyling career…
With over 23 years of experience, I have worked in many different environments both locally and internationally. A turning point in my career was when I established a freelance customer base in London, solo, for nearly seven years. It’s here that I connected with the ‘relationship’ element behind hairdressing. I specialise in fine hair cutting and colouring as I believe it’s important to work with the grain of the hair for best results, yet treat any hair type with the same care and consideration.
What are Hello Hair’s specialities?
We are incredibly passionate about colour! My stylist Lourens van Dyk (#helloLoLo) and I both come from a history of hairdressers within our families – you could say it’s in our blood. Formulating custom colours and creating bespoke balayage and highlights are some of our key areas of expertise.
