Spring has sprung and there’s no better time to soak up the warm sun and Joburg’s windless days while sipping G&Ts.
Admire the outdoors at The Maslow Hotel – in the heart of the concrete jungle of Sandton – at the Hendrick’s Gin Social Sunday Picnic on October 26 from 12pm to 6pm.
You’ll be handed a Hendrick’s Gin welcome drink on arrival, then you’ll mosey over to The Lawns, a peaceful green space where you can relax and tuck into a delightful picnic basket.
What’s in the basket? You can expect items like a roast chicken, avocado and shredded lettuce wrap; mini-Greek salad jar; biltong and dry wors as well as a chef’s choice of desserts.
From the buffet table, indulge in peri-peri drummies, cheese-and-corn samosas with sweet chilli and slivers of crispy pork belly filled boa buns and slaw on the side.
It’s R950 for a basket (serves two), and you can top up on gin – R45 a glass or buy a bottle with 12 mixers for R1500.
