Trespass: art & the heart

Coinciding with Valentine’s Day, the Trespass: art & the heart exhibition is a dialogue between works by several artists from different backgrounds and generations.

Exploring notions of romantic love, completeness, connection, boundaries and vulnerability, the exhibition explores love’s capacity to build or destroy, according to intensity and reciprocity.

‘Trespassing’ alludes to purposeful artistic journeys into intimate personal terrains. With irony, humour, and spot-on commentary, the artists tackle diverse topics relating to personal identity and the commercialisation of courtly love. By design, the works on this exhibition step bravely beyond defined boundaries and attempt to redraw our worldview through shared exploration and dialogue.

The exhibition will be opened by the curator, Johan Conradie on February 4 at 6:30pm and runs until February 26.

Venue: Association of Arts Pretoria, 173 Mackie Street, Nieuw Muckleneuk, Pretoria
