Easter is a time of reflection and togetherness, so gather your family and celebrate with a joyous lunch at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton.
There will be It chocolate egg nests, carrot cake, hot cross buns and Easter cupcakes, obviously … but that’s dessert. First up will be a delish lunch t a bountiful spread with fresh salads such as marinated tomato and mint with basil dressing and baby spinach and shrimp, citrus soy, parmesan and charred broccoli, as well as a mezze of Mixed Olives and Grilled Eggplant.Expect main courses like beef sirloin, garlic and almond-stuffed leg of lamb, grilled linefish medallions, sweet soy butter-braised chicken with root vegetables and delectable side dishes including sweet potato with pomegranate syrup and poppy seeds, cauliflower with saffron cream, pepper flakes, parsley, and penne pasta. And if it’s a case of no chocolate for me (said no-one, ever!) additional desserts include an apple and pear crumble and a very South African peppermint malva pudding with crème anglaise.
Children can hop into the Easter egg hunt that starts at 2.30 as well as have their faces painted and meet the Easter bunny. Live entertainment will be the background for a relaxed afternoon in Sandton.
