{"id":15993,"date":"2023-06-13T15:41:23","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T13:41:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/joburg-north\/blog\/2023\/06\/13\/entries-open-for-the-new-bar-beverage-awards\/"},"modified":"2024-05-28T16:11:34","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T14:11:34","slug":"entries-open-for-the-new-bar-beverage-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/joburg-north\/blog\/2023\/06\/13\/entries-open-for-the-new-bar-beverage-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Entries open for the new Bar &amp; Beverage Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>For the first time, supporting industries that drive service excellence in the bar sector, will be recognised by The South African Bar &amp; Beverage Awards 2023.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The inaugural Awards is set to be the hottest event to hit the trade\u2019s calendar this year.\u00a0 It will become the most significant recognition one can achieve in the drinks industry, alongside other prestigious international drinks awards such as the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is how you enter:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Any brand, distributor or agency may submit an application to be considered for an award. The awards will be judged by a robust panel of 32 highly respected captains of industry, led by industry expert Leah van Deventer, an internationally recognised awards chair. Judges are eligible for awards, but will be recused from judging any award they&#8217;re nominated for, or where they have a conflict of interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each category recognises the best in their respective fields and highlights the innovation, creativity and showmanship that the South African beverage industry is known for. The categories are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Best Brand Campaign <\/span><\/li>\n<li>Best CSI Campaign<\/li>\n<li>Best Brand Manager<\/li>\n<li>Best Sales Representative<\/li>\n<li>Best New Local Cocktail Ingredient<\/li>\n<li>Best New Local Spirit<\/li>\n<li>Best New Local Liqueur or Spirit Aperitif<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The beverage categories run adjacent to the bar categories, which focus on celebrating excellence within the on-trade, and include awards such as Best Bartender and Best Cocktail Bar. The bar categories were open to public nominations, before being judged by the same panel of industry experts. <\/span><b>Entries for the beverage categories close on 15 June 2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submit an entry in any of the above categories, or for more information about the Bar &amp;
