The final three have been named on The Great South African Bake Off but who will take the baking crown?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It\u2019s been a whirlwind of flour, eggs and a lot of sugar on season 4 of The Great South African Bake Off, which has seen its fair share of baking highs and lows. The hosting duo, Lesego Tlhabi and Glen Biderman-Pam, and judges, Siba Mtongana and Paul Hartmann, have brought all the fun, laughter, and baking knowledge to the tent.<\/p>\n

Now after ten weeks of non-stop challenges, it comes down to three bakers, Chikomborero \u201cChiko\u201d Chiobvu, Mariza Mundow and Mia Steenkamp.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Finalists will be battling it out to not only be named as South Africa\u2019s best amateur baker, but be awarded with some fab prizes including a Prue Leith Patisserie Diploma 6 month pastry course and 3 day Valrhona course in Paris.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We get to know local Joburg finalist Mia Steenkamp a little better.<\/p>\n

Hometown: <\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n

Occupation: <\/strong>Experience Design Director<\/p>\n

Hobbies:<\/strong> Board games, socialising with friends.<\/p>\n

Favourite bakes:<\/strong> Cakes and sourdough bread<\/p>\n

Most challenging disciplines:<\/strong> Pastries and tarts.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On being in the final Mia said, \u201cI feel elated being selected as a finalist. There have been many ups and downs, many mistakes but also successes. I have worked harder than I could ever imagine, and had to overcome so many challenges, and I am so grateful and proud to be here.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

Mia\u2019s most difficult challenge has been \u201cTime constraints were the most difficult challenge – it was my downfall in many challenges, such as the cake scape, bread loaf and baklava! But in terms of specific bakes, the bavarian gateaux and the entremet were some of the most technically challenging – all the parts had to be perfect and if one part failed, all the rest suffered.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mia\u2019s plan for the final is \u201cLean into my strengths, and the positive feedback I have received, by being a bit unconventional, focusing on creativity, and above all having fun.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
