It\u2019s Summer. We\u2019re on holiday. And we\u2019re loving our braais. And this braai day platter\u2019s going to be a hot fave.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Forget the every-day-salad. At your next braai, make up this platter, with a gorgeous dip. It will take you less than half an hour to make, and will serve six to eight people.<\/p>\n

Braai Platter with Avo & Whipped Feta Dip<\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll need:<\/strong> 2 ripe avocados, peeled and stoned; avocado or olive oil to drizzle; crudit\u00e9s (such as carrots, celery, cucumber, baby tomatoes, roasted peppers, sun-dried tomato); pita bread; pesto, homemade or store bought.<\/p>\n

For the Whipped Avo & Feta Dip:<\/strong> 1 ripe avocado, peeled and stoned; 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped; 15 g (\u00bd punnet) flat leaf parsley plus a little extra for garnish; 240 g soft feta, drained; 125 ml (\u00bd cup) buttermilk or plain low-fat yoghurt.<\/p>\n

To make:<\/strong> For the dip, place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.<\/p>\n

To serve, slice the avocados and arrange on a platter and drizzle with oil. Arrange the crudit\u00e9s and pita on the platter.<\/p>\n

Spoon the dip into bowls and top with a dollop of pesto and serve immediately.<\/p>\n
