Long late lunches. Clinking glasses. Cheerful chatter. And a joyous vibe. Kanpai, an Asian Tapas and Bubbles bar, is where you want to be spending your time this Summer, experiencing bubbly Japanese lunches.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

First up … forget the fine wine and cocktail menu, bubbles are way more festive and fun. You can also do away with the large bowls of salads because when you get a taste of the small plates at Kanpai Restaurant in Rosebank, you\u2019ll be ordering a table full of them for you and your friends and family to enjoy.<\/p>\n

The restaurant\u2019s name is derived from the Japanese word cheers<\/em>, so there is no shame in raising your glass all afternoon. Home to plenty of local Cap Classiques to try … our favourite is the Boschendal Brut Rose that pairs so well with sushi and the Asian-inspired dishes found on the menu.<\/p>\n

The bubbles flow easy with the upbeat music in the background and view of the beautiful bar with a built-in fish tank, next to a large cabinet display of sparkling wines. The stunning bubble walls and the reflective ceiling accents all add to the lively yet relaxed feeling.<\/p>\n

The party starter is definitely the small plates arriving at the table looking fresh and vibrant. The vegan bliss of tempura tofu, chives, beetroot rice topped with a sweet and sour sauce is an appetizing start from their specialty sushi options. To spice things up, the Vietnamese stuffed wings are worth getting your fingers messy … they certainly wake up your taste buds to new exciting flavours and textures. And a memorable plate are the spinach and cream cheese dumplings – light and creamy pockets of yum! With so many exciting plates and MCC\u2019s to try, you can turn any occasion into a celebration at Kanpai and leave on a bubblier and happier note.<\/p>\n

We can see how this can become a regular dining spot for some … and if you\u2019re a frequent visitor, you\u2019ll get a set of personalised chopsticks.<\/p>\n
