The brother and sister team Spero Patricios and Rose Dairopoulos have a winning recipe. Simple, flavourful food. They can thank Helen – the 90-year-old matriarch in the family – for the many hours she spent with them in the kitchen, passing down her recipes and knowledge of Greek cuisine. For Spero and Rose, the acid test of really good Greek food is the ability to serve succulent flame-grilled meats \u2026 and it\u2019s something they pride themselves on. Seeing the simple menu, you will be surprised to find you can order just about any meat you crave. While we would happily order a tub of Tirokafteri and some pita and nibble away, owner Rose has suggested the perfect meal for sharing \u2013 whether with family, a few friends, business colleagues, or on a relaxed date night. She recommends making up your own platter with Tiropita, zucchini fries, pita bread and tirokafteri. Add souvlaki sticks or your favourite Gyro meat, plus a healthy salad on the side. And of course, no shared spread is complete without something sweet. You can keep it classic with Baklava or delicious double thick Greek yogurt drizzled with honey & sprinkled with nuts.
