This pud will truly blow your guests away!\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Malva pudding with braai roasted fruits\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019ll need for the pudding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>250ml sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp apricot jam<\/li>\n<li>310ml cake flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n<li>pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp melted butter<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vinegar<\/li>\n<li>125ml milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You\u2019ll need for the Amarula sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>250ml fresh cream<\/li>\n<li>125ml Amarula liqueur<\/li>\n<li>125ml sugar<\/li>\n<li>125ml hot water<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp butter<\/li>\n<li>Fresh fruits (pineapple, peaches, plums) for roasting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To make:<\/strong><br \/>\nPreheat the oven to 180\u00b0C (350\u00b0F) and grease a medium baking dish.<br \/>\nIn a large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy, then stir in the apricot jam. Sift the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl, and fold into the egg mixture. Add the melted butter, vinegar and milk, and mix until smooth.<br \/>\nPour into the prepared dish and bake for 35\u201340 minutes, or until golden and set.<br \/>\nWhile it bakes, make the sauce: combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently, stirring until the butter melts and sugar dissolves \u2013 don\u2019t boil.<\/p>\n<p>Once the pudding is out of the oven, pour over the warm Amarula sauce and let it soak in completely.<br \/>\nFor a tasty finish, sprinkle halved fruits with sugar and cinnamon, then braai on a clean grid over medium coals for about 5 minutes until caramelised and slightly charred.
