Run wild … trail running in the reserve

Feel the pulse of Africa beneath your feet while enjoying a weekend of trail running, game drives and good company.

How does an exciting and exhilarating trail running experience through the vast open spaces and magnificent terrain of a Zululand wildlife reserve sound? Exciting. Absolutely. Safe? Of course. You’ll be under the watchful eye of Thanda’s Anti-Poaching unit.

Thanda Safari is set in the northern reaches of Zululand, KwaZulu Natal where the Great Rift Valley meets the Lebombo Mountains. It’s a brilliant 5-star private game reserve, which puts a great emphasis on conservation and community upliftment, and has recently started a ‘Weekend with a Difference’ campaign … a host of weekends offering a bush break, plus so much more.

Runners and their friends and can enjoy the outdoors (you don’t all have to run … partners and children are welcome to stay back at the camp), and costs from R2 995 per person sharing per night, which includes  accommodation at the Thanda Tented Camp (spacious colonial safari-style tents, each with private viewing deck and en-suite bathroom), two game drives daily with guide and tracker (it’s Big Five country, so loads of excitement on these drives), all meals and selected local beverages (soft drinks, house wines, spirits and beers). Excluded is the  conservation levy of R200 a person, as well as gratuities and all items of a personal nature.
