Disney’s The Magic Box, developed in collaboration with Disney Theatrical Group, is a 90-minute stage musical that immerses the audience in an unprecedented theatrical adventure combining puppetry, elaborate costumes and projections in an innovative, large-scale staging.
The show is an experience paying tribute to the art of animation and inviting the audience to reconnect with the legacy of Disney music through the stories, songs, and characters that have accompanied them through the different stages of their lives. Classic Disney songs merge into an iconic original score and the characters come to life through various theatrical techniques, magnificent choreography, and the voices and performances of a South African cast featuring 26 top-tier artists. No children under three years old.

The WGRUV Dance Company, South Africa’s newest contemporary ballet dance company brings its third season of 2024, presenting Trilogy of Notes – A Symphony of Dance to you.
The company, known for its innovative and captivating dance performances, creates hope through soulful artistic storytelling, and this season is no exception. Opening the programme, for the first time in South Africa, Jessica Lang’s Vivace Motifs establishes a classical narrative to the baroque music of Handel and Corelli.
The second piece, Permission to Fall, an original creation by chorographic artist and Doug Varone dancer, Brad Beakes. The evening culminates in the 1950s era with a dynamic piece by former Paul Taylor dancer and creator, Michael Trusnovec.
This original work will feature live musician Emmanuel Paul playing the bass notes.
