With the weather getting warmer in certain parts of the country, and with the weekend starting soon … we couldn’t resist this recipe.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Amasi and cookies ice-cream<\/strong><\/p>\n

Serves: 8 – 10
\nSetting time: 3 – 4 hours<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

500 ml (2 cups) cream
\n500 ml (2 cups) amasi
\n250 ml (1 cup) condensed milk
\n5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla essence
\n1 cup sandwich chocolate cookies, crushed<\/p>\n

Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Line a loaf tin with cling wrap and place in the freezer to chill.<\/li>\n
  2. In a bowl whisk the vanilla essence and condensed milk together.<\/li>\n
  3. Beat the cream into soft peaks using an electric mixer.<\/li>\n
  4. Add the condensed milk with the vanilla essence and the amasi to the whipped cream and continue to mix till everything has been well incorporated.<\/li>\n
  5. Once the ice-cream mixture is well mixed, remove from the mixture and fold in the crushed biscuits.<\/li>\n
  6. Pour the mixture into the chilled loaf tin and place in the freezer for 3 – 4 hours or until the
    \nice-cream has set.<\/li>\n
  7. When set, turn out, slice or serve as needed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
