Try adding this delicious creamy fish pie to the menu for something delicious and new&#8230;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Cooking and baking time: 40 min<br \/>\nServes: 6 &#8211; 8<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 tbsp olive oil<br \/>\n750 g hake or haddock fillets, cut into large chunks,<br \/>\nfor this recipe we used haddock<br \/>\n3 tbsp fish spice<br \/>\n500 ml (2 cups) fresh cream<br \/>\n250 ml (1 cup) full-cream milk<br \/>\n1 small onion, finely diced<br \/>\n6 cups potatoes, peeled and diced<br \/>\n150 g butter<br \/>\n\u2154 cup flour<br \/>\n1 tbsp wholegrain mustard<br \/>\n1 cup frozen peas<br \/>\n2 cups baby Spinach<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat your oven to 200\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>In a saucepan heat the olive oil and add the onion once the oil is hot.<\/li>\n<li>Saut\u00e9 the onion till they are cooked and translucent.<\/li>\n<li>Add the the fish fillets to the onions and continue to saut\u00e9 for a few minutes<\/li>\n<li>Season with the fish spice and stir well.<\/li>\n<li>Once the fish is cooked, set it aside.<\/li>\n<li>Place a large frying pan over a medium heat\u00a0add half of the butter (75 g) then melt the butter<br \/>\nin the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour to the melted butter then whisk until a smooth paste forms.<\/li>\n<li>While stirring, slowly add the cream and cook for 2 &#8211; 3 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.<\/li>\n<li>Add the mustard, peas and baby spinach to the sauce and stir well.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the heat and allow the creamy fish to cool down for 10 &#8211; 15minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Mashed Potatoes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until<br \/>\ntender, then mash with 75 g of butter and 1 cup<br \/>\nmilk.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Assembling the fish pie<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Transfer the cooled creamy fish to a baking dish.<\/li>\n<li>Top the fish with the mashed potatoes and spread out evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Place in the oven and bake for 20 &#8211; 25 minutes or until golden in colour and the edges are bubbling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>This recipe is supplied by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rediscoverdairy.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rediscover Dairy<\/a>, an initiative of the Consumer Education Project of Milk SA<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tired of the same dinners every week?
