It is a nationwide journey with RSG\u2019s caravan, presenters and sponsors stepping onto the colourful tapestry that makes our culture so captivating and our South African towns and their cultural custodians so extraordinary.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it is the farm stall no one can drive past without stopping, the auntie who remembers everyone\u2019s birthdays, the church choir that sings the most beautiful melodies, the man with an unusual talent, the group that dances up a storm, or even the celebrity whose roots lie in the town.<\/p>\n<p>Show us the cultural custodians, tastes and talents that make your town, community, suburb or neighbourhood unique, and the RSG and Virseker <em>Kultuurkaravaan<\/em> may just stop in your town to explore and experience it with you.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was launched on Monday 27 July during a live broadcast on the Sea Point promenade with presenters Renske Jacobs, Gustav Greyling and Martelize Brink.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s up for grabs?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Listeners who nominate their towns, neighbourhoods or communities stand a chance to win a mid\u2011week break at any ATKV resort.<\/p>\n<p>Each selected town receives an RSG <em>kuier<\/em>\u00a0with a live Op en Wakker broadcast with Renske Jacobs, Gustav Greyling and Blaine Jones, prize activities with Virseker, an ATKV Book Bin valued at R8 000 for a local school, and a massive R300 000 in RSG airtime to promote local tourism.<\/p>\n<p>There is also <em>Kiek die Karavaan <\/em><em>(Spot the Caravan)<\/em>, where listeners can take photos when they spot the caravan on the road to win cash prizes from Virseker.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-22616\" src=\"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/joburg-north\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2026\/08\/RSG-Virseker-se-Kultuurkaravaan-in-Kaapstad-bekend-gestel-Custom-400x308.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A Culture Capsule travels with the team and is filled at every town with an item that represents the culture or identity of the community. The capsule will be opened during the final broadcast and explored as a reflection on Afrikaans, its stories, its towns and its people.<\/p>\n<p>The entry process is simple: listeners visit <a href=\"https:\/\/kultuurkaravaan.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>kultuurkaravaan.co.za<\/em><\/a> and tell RSG who the food heroes, creatives, sports stars, care angels, school heroes and hidden gems of their town are.
