The official Afrikaans Gaan Global concert on Saturday boasts an impressive list of artists and you can look forward to 27 artists who will keep the party going – again for 12 hours. These artists are Jo Black, Snotkop, Refentse, Spoegwolf, Adam Tas, Juanita du Plessis, Pieter Koen, Wicus van der Merwe, Demi Lee Moore, Joe F, Ricus Nel, Brendan Peyper, Nicholis Louw, Nadine, Elizma Theron, Tasché Burger, Apple, Elvis Blue, Kurt Darren, Die Campbells, Synth Peter, Jay du Plessis, Karen Zoid, Early B and Ray Dylan. Vanes-Marie du Toit will be the presenters together with Pieter Koen and Wicus Van der Merwe.

‘The 27th artist will be nominated by a panel of artists based on nominations from the public. Anyone who wants to nominate an artist can do so on Afrikaans Gaan Global’s social media pages and thus give an emerging artist the opportunity to also be part of this concert,’ said Kurt Darren, one of the organizers and mastermind behind Afrikaans Gaan Global.

The public has until Friday, 23 October to nominate an artist and the 27th artist who will perform with the cream of the Afrikaans music industry and will be announced on Monday, 26 October.

‘The entire Valley of the Waves is booked exclusively for Afrikaans Gaan Global and therefore only ticket holders for this concert will have access. You can either enjoy this concert from the comfort of your home or soak up the sun at Sun City while experiencing all these artists live,’ he added.

One ticket holder also stands the chance to win an incredible trip to Europe through MSC Cruises and the prize also includes two economical return flights from SA.

Furthermore, huge prizes are at stake with lucky draws worth more than half a million rand and these raffle tickets can also be bought on iTickets, for only R100.

The idea for Afrikaans Gaan Global was born from the need for economic relief in the Afrikaans music industry with the Covid-19 pandemic that robbed everyone in the entertainment industry of any income.

Only 500 packages for this weekend’s concert are available to comply with the lockdown regulations. Tickets cost R1 500 per ticket. This package, per person, includes a ticket to the Hardekole concert on Friday, 30 October at 9pm at The Boma, as well as for Afrikaans Gaan Global on Saturday, 31 October, with full-day access to the resort. Accommodation is excluded.

Those who will stream the concerts can get their ticket for R250 – this includes both concerts, Hardekole and Afrikaans Gaan Global.

The option for house parties are also offered again with packages available at R3 000. This #HuisFees package includes the following: A mini sound system, a technician, as well as a 60” TV screen for your home or venue during the Afrikaans Gaan Global concert. It is delivered and installed.
