Happy Heritage Day. We have no doubt that you\u2019ve got the food sorted for this celebration \u00a0\u2026 one which involves all things braai and celebrating our heritage.<\/p>\n

The good news is that now that we\u2019ve all come out of hibernation, lockdown levels have come down a notch and everyone is socialising in the sunshine. So it\u2019s time to Up Your Drinks Game.<\/p>\n

That means\u00a0celebrating with your favourite local drinks brands and\u00a0serving delicious cocktails and drinks. Whether you\u2019re all about a gin bar, can\u2019t say no to a sparkling wine, want an alcohol free option, or simply just want a lekker<\/em> local tipple of something special for your Springbokkie<\/em>, look no further.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Bloedlemoen (pronounced \u201cBlue\u2019d Le Moon\u201d) is a handcrafted South African, small batch local gin made from ten natural botanicals, including the delicious Tarocco Blood Orange, proudly making it the world\u2019s first Blood Orange gin. The fruit is sourced locally from the Western Cape.<\/p>\n

SA-Groni<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • 25ml Bloedlemoen Gin<\/li>\n
  • 25ml Campari<\/li>\n
  • 25ml Full Cream Sherry<\/li>\n

    Stir all ingredients together and strain into a tumbler glass with a big block of ice. Take the twist and squeeze the oil over the drink.<\/p>\n

With Chenin Blanc as its base, the unique flavour comes largely from the cuv\u00e9e (first press) of the grape \u2013 the result is a clean, delicate wine, with a gentle fruitiness.     • 120ml Grace du Roi White Gold Sparkling Wine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Fill a champagne flute one-third full of freshly squeezed orange juice and top up with ice-cold Grace du Roi White Gold.<\/p>\n

        • 50ml ABSTINENCE Lemon Aperitif<\/li>\n
        • 200ml Soda Water (can be substituted with Tonic)<\/li>\n
        • Ice<\/li>\n
        • Lemon peel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Pour ABSTINENCE Lemon Aperitif over ice in a gin goblet or wine glass. Top with soda and garnish with fresh lemon peel.<\/p>\n

          Just as our cherished Cape Fynbos cannot exist without fire, so any social occasion is not complete without the intensity of the\u00a0Abstinence Epilogue X.
