Bond. James Bond. Agent 007. The latest film \u2013 No Time To Die<\/strong> – opens in cinemas tonight, and the only drink worthy of celebrations must surely be a bottle of Champagne Bollinger.<\/strong> \u00a0The first time this Champagne appeared alongside James Bond was in 1973, when Roger Moore ordered a bottle on-screen in Live and Let Die. Since then, it\u2019s featured in 14 Bond film, favoured by Moore and then Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig, who\u2019s starring in this, his fifth and last Bond film. In the trailer, Craig is seen whipping a dust sheet off his Aston Martin V8 Vantage Series II parked in his garage, revealing a stack of lovingly-stored Champagne Bollinger.<\/p>\n

Today also sees the launch of an exclusive limited edition of Bollinger\u2019s Special Cuv\u00e9e, the Aston Martin DB5 and the legendary British secret agent, James Bond. Packed in a gift box featuring the silhouette of James Bond alongside his Aston Martin DB5. The colourway of the gift box echoes the silver birch finish of the DB5. The Bollinger lettering and logos are depicted in gold, and the iconic Special Cuv\u00e9e bottle has been adapted to feature a black and gold neck collar with a 007 blazon.<\/p>\n

The Bollinger Special Cuvee displays an intense golden colour, very fine bubbles and a beautiful aromatic complexity: spicy aromas, hints of roasted apples, apple compote and ripe peaches. Full and expansive on the palate, this is an intense, very elegant and refined creamy cuv\u00e9e with pear and brioche flavours and notes of fresh walnuts with a long refreshing finish. Perfect for any special occasion as well as for afternoon tea, at a picnic, as a pre-dinner drink or as an ideal accompaniment to sushi, sashimi, prawns and crayfish, cured ham or sliced, seared beef fillet. Or alone, simply because you\u2019re a Bond and Bolly fan. You\u2019ll find it at fine wine stores for around R1100 (although they really should have priced it at R1007, we think!).<\/p>\n
