Nikita van der Walt is the winner of our Canon competition. Here is how Nikita described her photo.
“Witbank has a lot of horseback riding schools; people tend to ride horses on Sundays which is relaxing. Witbank can get busy sometimes and full of life with busy streets , moving cars and hard working people but Witbank also has a quiet and peaceful side to it , down by the Seekoeiwater Plotte where you can go for a relaxing drive and you’ll see farms, cows and big green trees where fluffy sheep rest under, with the grey windy fields you will see magnificent horses running free, with a little stream along the way where the horses can drink water.”
“Horses describe Witbank the best for me, how it can be so energetic and run everywhere but also in the same way it can be peaceful and relaxed yet so beautiful. I can’t see myself living anywhere else.”
