The best part about the holidays? Family and friends popping in for a drink, a dinner, an overnight stay. It’s a lovely time of the year, when we get together with those we love and spend quality time together. What’s the worst part? Not being prepared. Hello Chateau Gateaux. We stock up on a few of these amazing frozen cakes at the beginning of the hols, so no matter who pops by, we can defrost, decorate and voila … tea time cake or pudding is served! For a festive looking cake, we fancy this lovely Vanilla Dream torte, layered with Chantilly cream and topped with white chocolate shavings. Add a handful of strawberries (or whatever you have to hand) and tuck in.
