A Carols on Ice with heart

If you weren’t at Forest Hill Shopping Centre’s Carols on Ice this past weekend … you seriously missed out. The sold-out show was a huge success with a spectacular performance by the Mzanzi Youth Choir. A magical evening ignited the festive spirit when families were treated to the sounds of Silent Night, The Little Drummer boy and an African rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

The Mzanzi Youth Choir took to the stage positioned in the Ice Rink alongside South African figure skaters that had crowds in awe of impeccable talent. Amongst the guests were personalities, Pabi Moloi, Enhle Mbali, MoT from Micasa to mention a few. These personalities took to social media using hashtags #CarolsOnIce #ForestHillFestive showcasing them set off the Christmas spirit in song and dance.

‘This was an all-round special night as we celebrated the legacy left by Tata Nelson Mandela that passed away seven years ago on this day. We are honouring him with a large mural erected in the Shopping Centre for customers to sign and leave a message of appreciation for Tata,’ said Marketing Manager, Caley May.
