Ever had something you poured your heart into just \u2026 fall apart?
\nLinda van der Walt knows that feeling all too well. But here\u2019s the thing \u2013 she\u2019ll also tell you it\u2019s not the end of the world. In fact, it might just be the start of something even more beautiful.<\/p>\n

When roadworks and location challenges forced the closure of Plaaslik \u2013 the gorgeous store that had proudly supported more than 120 local suppliers since lockdown \u2013 it felt like the end of a dream.<\/p>\n

For founder Linda van der Walt, the shop was never just a business. It was a living, breathing community of makers, creators, and kindred spirits who found a home within its walls.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was 120 stories, relationships, and dreams. Closing it was heartbreaking. But it made space for something new.\u201d<\/p>\n

She admits the journey wasn\u2019t easy. \u201cI tried everything to keep my business open, to keep positive and to keep hopeful. But sometimes endings are just beginnings in disguise. When you fall, you see who is in your corner. It\u2019s never easy to let people down, but I learned that I didn\u2019t have to keep standing alone.\u201d<\/p>\n
