{"id":4136,"date":"2020-01-20T12:00:46","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T10:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/pretoria\/?p=4136"},"modified":"2024-05-30T15:40:36","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T13:40:36","slug":"be-it-for-breakfast-or-lunch-these-egg-frittatas-is-always-a-good-idea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/pretoria\/blog\/2020\/01\/20\/be-it-for-breakfast-or-lunch-these-egg-frittatas-is-always-a-good-idea\/","title":{"rendered":"Be it for breakfast or lunch, these egg frittatas is always a good idea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><label>Serves: 6-8<\/label><\/p>\n<p><label>Prep time:10 minutes<\/label><\/p>\n<p><label>Cooking time: 30 minutes<\/label><\/p>\n<header><span class=\"firstWord\">Ingredients<\/span><\/header>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>5 large free-range eggs, beaten<\/li>\n<li>2 cups whipping cream<\/li>\n<li>microgreens, to garnish<\/li>\n<li>2 t olive oil<\/li>\n<li>sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-sub-category\">For the tuna-and-feta tarts:<\/span><\/li>\n<li>100 g Woolworths sheep and goat\u2019s milk feta<\/li>\n<li>100 g cherry tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>1x 170 g can Woolworths light meat tuna chunks in brine<\/li>\n<li>2 red salad onions, chopped<\/li>\n<li>5 g chives, chopped<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-sub-category\">For the tomato, pesto and Parmesan tarts:<\/span><\/li>\n<li>100 g cherry tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>5 g fresh basil<\/li>\n<li>2 T basil pesto<\/li>\n<li>50 g Parmesan, grated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Method<\/p>\n<p>1. Preheat the oven to 180\u00b0C. Mix the eggs and cream. Season.<br \/>\n2. Choose between tuna-and-feta tarts and the tomato, pesto and Parmesan version. Divide the fillings between 6\u20138 individual ovenproof bowls, or use a muffin pan along with a little drizzle of olive oil in each well.<br \/>\n3. Top with the egg mixture, then bake for 30 minutes, or until the egg has set. Garnish with microgreens.<br \/>\n4.
