Did you know the Original Pink Gin dates back all the way to the 1800\u2019s?\u00a0 It\u2019s the perfect two-ingredient drink that\u2019s been a classic favourite through the centuries\u2026<\/p>\n

The two-ingredient classic is believed to have been created back in the 1800\u2019s by soldiers of the British Royal Navy.<\/p>\n

Bitters was originally fashioned as a medical elixir and Angostura aromatic bitters was given to sailors in the Royal Navy as a cure for sea sickness. However, bitters on its own wasn\u2019t exactly enjoyable and so they added gin, with bitters giving it it\u2019s rosy hue. By the late 1800\u2019s the recipe had made its way across the seas, becoming a popular cocktail with the general public.<\/p>\n

Make Your Own Classic
\n<\/strong>If you\u2019re looking to keep things light this summer when you\u2019re home entertaining, try this three-minute blend\u2026<\/p>\n

In a mixing glass filled with ice stir together 60ml gin and 2 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters. Then strain into a serving glass over ice and add a lemon twist as garnish.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Or top up the classic recipe with soda or tonic water and ice to make a lighter, bubblier, more refreshing long drink.
