Get a head start on Christmas shopping at the Fair with Flair, where 135 vendors bring three days of festive finds, delicious treats and local creativity to Manor House Venue in Sheffield Beach from 29 to 31 October.
This popular fair brings together South African designers, artisans, artists, makers and bakers, offering everything from Christmas gifts and home decor to fashion, jewellery, skincare and original art.
A highlight is the range created by the Christmas Fair Creative Team, who have been handmaking Christmas decor, home accessories and gifts at their Karibu workshop since May. This year’s theme, Coastal Collective, celebrates a relaxed, coastal-inspired aesthetic, with all proceeds from the collection going directly to The Christmas Fair Fund NPO.
Food lovers can browse deli stalls selling freshly baked breads, signature Christmas cakes, mince pies, date loaf, yoghurt cakes, biltong, cheeses, nuts and other sweet and savoury treats. A dedicated foodie area invites visitors to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere, while live entertainment will run throughout the three days. Saturday also brings creative activities for children.
More than just a shopping opportunity, the fair supports small businesses by giving local creatives a platform to showcase their work. Funds raised benefit The Christmas Fair Fund’s initiatives, which support schools, crèches and care centres across the North Coast.
The fair takes place rain or shine, with all vendors housed under marquees and shuttle services available between the parking area and venue. Please note that it is a cashless event, with card and Zapper payments accepted.
