FROM THE BARKERY SUPPLYING SA WITH LUXURIOUS TREATS AND PET ACCESSORIES

Two black Labradors, two doting pet parents and a passion for fresh, natural produce were the main ingredients for the humble beginning of From The Barkery (FTB), South Africa’s luxury pet brand. With a background in food, the pet chefs put their culinary caps on and formulated treat recipes using only natural ingredients containing zero unnecessary artificial sweeteners or preservatives. From the first batch coming out of their home kitchen to the FTB family expanding their offering nationwide, one thing remains and that is the same love and care that was put into the very first treat.

The products include a pedigree twist on all human treats, with Pup Cakes and Pup Pops on the menu for special occasions with the good old faithful peanut butter being the hero of the dish. The treats are produced for both cats and dogs, with flavours ranging from sesame and rosemary to kale and blueberry to chamomile and honey. It is the attention to detail that differentiates FTB within the pet scope, giving customers the option to personalise their treats with their pet’s names.

From The Barkery has recently launched their Cannabidiol oil (CBD) range of hemp dog treats, which are made in small batches, using only the finest, world class ingredients. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced, which is reflected in the price. Not only does this product set itself apart from its competitors instantaneously, the reasonable price of R300.00 for quality products does so too.

In addition to the above, gift hampers and personalised goodies can be ordered and put together by the FTB family with boxes jam packed full of flavoursome and nourishing treats to again share the love and goodness with ones pet. Furthermore to all the yummies, the FTB family offer fluffy, waterproof blankets that are fleecy on one side and furry on the other, complete with a waterproof inner to keep pets dry.

Each new product goes under quality control testing by FTB furry pets ensuring it is given a paw up before it’s released. It is this dedication to delivering the best product that separates these treats from others, and challenges the school of thought of a treat being an occasional joy-bringer but rather an essential part of a pet’s life.

The products are available to order online and at a number of stockists around Cape Town, the Garden Route, Durban and Johannesburg. Prices range from as little as R15.00 to R900.00. It is all dependent on whether they’ve been a ‘good boy’ – or how much they deserve a spoil just because.
