Kryolan ‘It’s Summerֺ’ step-by-step makeup editorial

This summer, the focus is on radiance, soft warmth, and a naturally polished finish. The It’s Summer look celebrates luminous skin, structured features, and modern neutrals. Ideal for both professional and everyday wear. Using Kryolan’s industry-renowned products, this guide delivers a refined seasonal look with professional precision.

Step 1: Prep the skin

Skin was gently cleansed and refreshed using Clean & Care Natural Micellar Water. This lightweight cleansing formula removed impurities while maintaining hydration and balance, ensuring the skin was perfectly prepared for the make-up application to follow.

Step 2: Perfecting the base

The artist prepared the skin using HD Micro Primer – a long-time professional staple and the secret to immaculate-looking skin.

The primer smooths texture, minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines, and creates a silky, even base for make-up.

Its formula, enriched with silk protein, helps maintain balanced moisture levels and keeps the skin feeling refreshed and comfortable throughout wear.

For the eyes, Eye Shadow Primer was applied to ensure colour intensity and to prevent creasing of the eye shadow, offering a long-lasting, flawless finish.

Step 3: Define the brows

Brows were shaped and refined using Faceliner in Shade 20, a deep brown tone chosen for its ability to add soft yet precise definition. This provides controlled precision while blending seamlessly into the brow for a polished yet soft result.

Step 4: Perfect the brow shape

To accentuate and clean the brow area, Supracolor in Shade FS26 was used beneath the arches. The creamy, high-pigment formula provided seamless correction and subtle lifting for a polished, defined appearance.

Step 5: Add Summer colour to the eyes

Using the Eye Shadow Variety Palette (18 Colors) in V6, the artist blended the shades F02, Romantic, Red Brown, and 102 to create a warm, sun-inspired gradient. By applying lighter tones to the inner lid and deeper tones to the outer corner it creates natural depth and dimension.

Step 6: Define the lash line

To define the upper lash line, HD Cream Liner in Cacao was applied for a smooth, refined finish. The rich brown tone enhanced the lash line with gentle depth, giving structure without harsh contrast.

Step 7: Even the skin tone

For the base, the artist selected Supracolor Foundation in Shade V17, ideal for clients with dry skin. Supracolor’s renowned cream formula delivers excellent coverage with a luminous finish, blending effortlessly into the skin for a natural yet perfected result. Its versatility allows for buildable application.

Step 8: Subtle contouring

Definition was added using Supracolor in Shade V22, strategically applied to the cheek contours, temples, and jawline. The creamy texture blended smoothly for soft, natural sculpting that maintained the overall warmth of the look.

Step 9: Adding warmth

To add warmth, the artist used Cream Blush Palette 4 Colors / Blush 2 focusing the shade Muted Temptation to the cheeks and temples. The result was a healthy, sun-kissed flush that complemented the warm tones of the eyes.

As an alternative, the Cream Blush Stick offers the same creamy texture and radiant finish, ideal for those who prefer a single shade rather than a full palette.

Step 10: Set with translucent powder

To set the foundation, the artist lightly applied Translucent Powder in TL4 to areas where shine naturally occurs, such as the T-zone. This ultra-fine powder helps set cream products while maintaining the skin’s natural glow.

Step 11: Define with depth

Returning to Faceliner in Shade 20, the artist applied the product to the lower lash line to subtly enhance definition. The dark brown tone complements the eye shadow shades and ties the look together with natural intensity.

Step 12: Enhance the lashes

To complete the eyes, Dramatic Volume Mascara was applied from root to tip for lifted, full lashes. The formula builds volume while creating a beautiful curl.

Step 13: Define the lips

The artist defined and shaped the lips using Gel Lip Liner in Shade Earthy Crush. This is the ultimate gel liner for smudge- and waterproof precision. The gel-like formula glides on softly, leaving a matt finish that sets to a long-lasting hold.

Step 14: Add colour & longevity

For colour, Lip Stain in Shade Soul was incorporated as it ties the overall look together. The lightweight texture and enduring formula make it perfectly suited for summer wear – offering rich pigment that stays in place without feeling heavy.

Step 15: Fix and finish

To seal and refresh the look, a fine mist of Fixing Spray was applied.
This professional favourite ensured longevity while maintaining a natural, breathable finish. Ideal for the humidity and heat of the summer season.
