FITPOD offers a diverse range of classes led by passionate instructors who believe movement should be empowering, inclusive and enjoyable. We spoke to a few of the faces behind the classes about what inspires them, what wellness means beyond the studio, and what makes their sessions unique.
Gina Mazzoni
Gina G Ladies Group Training
My passion for health, strength and helping people feel confident inspired me to become an instructor. Training at FITPOD is special because of the strong, close-knit community and the active lifestyle people embrace here on the North Coast. Wellness is about living with balance, gratitude and purpose. It includes strong relationships, time in nature, emotional wellbeing, and having the energy to enjoy life fully. My classes at FITPOD combine professional coaching, strong attention to technique and a motivating atmosphere where everyone works at their own level without judgement. With more than 20 years in the industry, my focus is on helping every person feel supported, challenged and proud of their progress.
Dina Crichton
Pulse Kettlebells and Functional Fitness
Coming from a sporting background, fitness has always been part of my life. When I discovered kettlebells, it felt natural to share my passion for this powerful form of functional training.
I have three young daughters, and one of the most important things I can teach them is to look after their bodies from a young age. Movement is something that will support them through every stage of life. I’ve spent almost 18 years learning about kettlebells and movement. The work we do in my FITPOD classes isn’t a passing fitness trend. It’s based on years of knowledge, experience and proven techniques.
Chantelle Nicholson
Zumba® Fitness and Zumba® Gold
I fell in love with dance and music early on, and Zumba gave me a way to share that joy with others. Seeing people smile, move and grow in confidence inspired me to become an instructor.
For me, health is about balance. Dance is my feel-good therapy, but wellness also means slowing down, spending time with loved ones and doing things that bring happiness and peace. I create a fun, high-energy space where everyone feels welcome, regardless of age or fitness level. Each class at FITPOD blends upbeat Latin rhythms, simple choreography and lots of laughter. It’s a celebration as much as it is a workout.
Jemma Badenhorst
Freedom Dance Studio
The community inspires my work. There are so many women here who want to explore their passion for dance within a supportive and welcoming environment. One of my favourite things at FITPOD is seeing friendships formed in the studio continue outside of it – whether it’s dinner parties, walks along the promenade or simply spending time together. Our FITPOD classes remove the pressure often associated with dance. Women come to have fun, connect with others and enjoy movement. Whether you’re experienced or feel like you have two left feet, everyone is welcomed and supported equally.
Janine Paladin
Pilates Private sessions and Mat Classes
Movement has always been part of my life, from my dance background to my work in rehabilitation.
What I love most about instructing at FITPOD is the people – the community here is friendly, inspiring and incredibly supportive. For me, wellness goes far beyond exercise. It’s about balance – moving your body, spending time in nature, connecting with family and caring for your mental wellbeing. It also evolves throughout different stages of life. My classes combine Pilates, rehabilitation science and functional strength training. I keep my FITPOD classes small so I can give personal attention and ensure movements are safe, effective and tailored to each individual.
Iqraam Rahim
Rampage Dance Company
Growing up on the North Coast inspired me to give back to my community by nurturing local talent. Teaching dance at FITPOD allows me to spark creativity, build confidence and keep movement alive in an increasingly sedentary society. Each class is an opportunity to inspire joy, self-expression and a deeper connection to culture through movement. For me, wellness is about balance. Dance builds physical endurance, but also mental agility and cognitive development – qualities that help people stay expressive, resilient and connected while promoting mobility and circulation. My classes at FITPOD blend Bollywood, storytelling and global dance influences. Drawing from my choreography experience and Rampage Dance Company’s training ethos, each session builds confidence, creativity and performance energy.
