Olivia and Keegan Barwick’s wedding at The Manor House was a beautifully personal celebration, filled with vibrant detail, meaningful moments and effortless joy from beginning to end.

Set just minutes from Olivia’s family home in Brettonwood Estate, the venue choice was deeply personal.

“The venue felt incredibly special to us because of how close it is to my family home,” says Olivia. “Being able to get ready in my own space, surrounded by familiar places and my little bulldog Bailey, meant everything to me.”

Having travelled from the UK, returning home to celebrate brought everything full circle and created a relaxed, intimate start to the day.

Effortless Elegance
From the outset, the couple wanted a celebration that felt easy, while still holding onto a sense of elegance.

“Our wedding day was relaxed, happy and full of energy,” Olivia shares. “We wanted it to feel effortless, where guests could truly enjoy themselves.”

Keegan’s classic tux added a formal touch, while the atmosphere remained light and celebratory. Held in December, the wedding naturally marked the start of the festive season.

“We were having so much fun, we were scared our guests wouldn’t leave,” she laughs.

A celebration of colour
The decor reflected Olivia’s love for bright, joyful tones, with pink at the heart of the palette. A romantic nod to the couple’s Paris engagement came through in the form of French toile tablecloths, adding a personal layer to the look.

Working with Love Laugh in Ballito, the couple embraced a creative, trust-led approach.

“We wanted the flowers to feel bright, fun and full of life,” says Olivia. “When we saw the table mock-up, I burst into tears.”

Vintage pieces, sourced with the help of Olivia’s mom, added warmth and nostalgia, creating a setting that felt both elevated and deeply personal.

The dress moment
Olivia found her dream gown at Vonvé in Johannesburg during a special trip from the UK, turning the experience into a celebration with her family.

“My dad immediately pointed out one dress as the standout, and he was right,” she says.

She later changed into a second look by Shift Atelier, perfect for the dance floor.

Moments to remember
It was the meaningful, in-between moments that made the day unforgettable.

“Walking down the aisle and seeing my husband waiting at the end was incredibly emotional,” Olivia says.

A quiet pause before the reception also stood out.

“It was just the two of us, drinking champagne and taking everything in. There were no distractions, just a moment to reflect.”

The celebration that followed was filled with energy, laughter and a packed dance floor, the perfect ending to a day that felt both personal and unforgettable.
