Skilpadtepel Gin
Smooth and balanced. The name originates from the Afrikaans singer, Adam Tas’ song, Skilpadtepel, which is the name of a farm. A unique gin with notes of juniper, coriander, orange and Chinese pea flower. The Chinese pea flowers’ flavour is supported by a well-rounded nose. It’s dark purple colour changes as soon as it reacts with an acidic base such as from a tonic. This gin pairs well with most tonic waters, but elderflower tonic gives it a very premium taste profile. Pairs best with light seafood, citrus salads and creamy cheeses.
Cruxland Gin Kalahari Truffles
Cruxland Gin infused with Kalahari Truffles brings together the rare Kalahari truffle and nine Southern African botanicals. It is the first gin in the world to be infused with Kalahari truffles known as N’abbas. Experienced N’abbas hunters wait patiently during the first rains on the desolate plains of the Kalahari Desert for these rare gems to emerge, from the cracked earth. This small batch gin was founded in 2017 by Capetonian, Keegan Cook and originally crafted in KwaZulu-Natal. Blind Tiger Gin has carved its path from a local gem to an internationally sought-after spirit, having won numerous awards from around the world. Featuring a hand-drawn illustration on its’ label, by local artist Doug Powell, Blind Tiger Gin original recipe is the true embodiment of its commitment to craftsmanship.
