Plant based. It’s the new buzz word, and it’s not going away. Nor should it.

More and more of us are choosing plant-based diets and whole foods. Plant-based. Vegetarian. Vegan. And even those who are not going all the way, most of us are cutting down on sugar, embracing Meat Free Mondays, trying dairy-free options, and cutting back on alcohol. And since lowering stress is also high up on our agenda, we’re all about taking the easy-healthy way out.

No time to cook or prepare … no excuse. The new Woolies Wellness range does it all for you. We’re talking healthy but delish breakfasts like Goji Berry and Beetroot Granola, quick no-cook lunches like Roasted Butternut and Beetroot Salad, and fast, air-fryer-friendly dinners like PlantLove crumbed soya ocean portions.

We’re loving the black quinoa (crunchier and sweeter than the red and white quinoa, it’s a high protein-based grain with loads of fiber and less fat), and the gluten-free Yellow Lentil Pasta, which we tried with Creamy Cheese Style Sauce, made with vegan cheese.

There are also you-won’t-taste-it’s-de-alcoholised wines, and some fabulous sugar free flavoured sparkling drinks … we’re a little obsessed with the coconut and pineapple one. All at Woolies stores and online.
