Fashion trends for the rest of 2025

“Designers have been steadily dropping their Pre-Fall 2025 lookbooks” writes Dhani Mau in These Pre-Fall 2025 Trends Reveal What Fashion Has In Store.

Designers set the tone for 2025 with fresh trends and some carryovers from 2024, like animal prints and sophisticated suiting. The “Office Siren” trend persists, while the boho revival, sparked by Chemena Kamali at Chloé, gains traction. “Mocha Mousse” dominates as a top colour choice, though bold hues like pink and green, along with eye-catching scarf and tapestry prints, are challenging “quiet luxury”.

These were the key Pre-Fall 2025 trends:

Mocha Mousse

Pantone’s 2025 Colour of the Year, a pale brown, is everywhere in pre-fall collections, ensuring a wave of understated neutrals for next summer.

Animal Instincts

Leopard print remains strong, with Balmain and Roberto Cavalli leading the charge, while Ulla Johnson and Moschino introduce zebra and cow prints.

Brooches with Charm

“Chaotic customisation” goes luxe, with Valentino’s playful charms and Brandon Maxwell’s minimalist metal brooches standing out.

Not-Barbie Pink

Pink’s resurgence isn’t tied to past trends but rather its current appeal and possibly 2024’s blockbuster films.

“Wicked” (or “Brat”) Green

Bright, sparkly greens dominate, inspired by either Wicked or 2024’s “Brat” green trend.

Not-so-Grungy Plaid

Designers like Ferragamo and Markarian offer refined takes on plaid, from chic suiting to feminine eveningwear.

Scarf Prints

Etro’s bandana motifs, Carolina Herrera’s quilt-like patterns, and Moschino’s patchworked silks showcase diverse interpretations of scarf prints.

Stripes of All Types

Stripes are everywhere, from Markarian’s candy stripes to Stella McCartney’s rugby styles and Aknvas’s playful pinstripes.
